Fall 2016 Photoshoot Behind the Scenes: Artist Jeremiah Kille
I was first introduced to Jeremiah Kille by Ian Stowe, local photographer, blogger and cyclist who shares Santa Cruz with Jeremiah as their hometown spot. Our Always Ready brand theme fits him perfectly so we were excited to spend a few days shooting with him in both Santa Cruz and Los Angeles.
Originally a surfboard shaper (he still shapes 150 boards a year), Jeremiah became an artist about 10 years ago, focusing his energy on elephants which dominate his large format, visually stunning work. I first discovered Jeremiah's work years ago at Verve Coffee in Santa Cruz (next to our new retailer Bhody) on a post surf espresso run and was blown away.
You may also recognize Jeremiah from his work with both Giro and Caletti Bicycles, his handpainted recently on display at NAHBS in Sacramento.
If you race cross in Northern California and see Jeremiah, make sure to say hi. He is one of the nicest and most talented guys you'll ever meet. His work is on display now at Project Gallery in Los Angeles. He is currently working on a large mural for local tech company LinkedIn, at their Sunnyvale campus.
